When Greg left into the house, Vanessa asked Abeiku if he was very sure he is not married. Abeiku nodded. “You remember Caroline? That funny National service personnel. Vanessa nodded. “She is such a gossip and she has a big crush on him everybody in the office knows except Samuel of course. She knows almost everything about him. I have seen her wife to be before, she has been to the office only once. I didn’t see a wedding ring on her left finger, just a fancy ring on her right little finger. “Eii Abeiku just one time you saw her and you looked at all her fingers like that? Vanessa said jealously. “Oh no honey, she spoke to me actually. She is a Computer Engineer and was just explaining some computer stuff to me. She was moving her hand a lot when she spoke and my mind went on them.” “ I heard you say earlier to Greg that he about to marry a very beautiful lady, it made me jealous when you spoke about another woman’s beauty.” Vanessa said sadly. Samuel took Jason home safely and had stayed back to have a chat with Philip. “How did the party go?” Philip asked. “It was a nice party I couldn’t stay for long. I need to ask you something. “Are you very sure Lisa aborted the baby?” Philip hesitated a little before answering him. “I am sure of what I saw and I made my investigations. Why are you asking me this? “Just wanted to sure. I have to get going now. I have to get to the mall, I need to get some things for Sarah. Philip was worried about the question Samuel asked. He watched Samuel as he drove away “what has Lisa been telling this guy?” he thought.
Mrs.Ankrah waited outside for his son, she was upset he went for the party even though he warned him not to. She saw his car pull up at the gate and she got up to meet him at the gate, she walked to the passenger door and asked Samuel to unlock the door. She sat in the car and started to scold his son. “What has gotten into you Samuel? Did I not tell you not to see Lisa anymore?” “Mother you could have waited for me to come inside the house.” “No Samuel, I didn’t want your father and Sarah hearing me talk about Lisa.” Samuel’s phone kept ringing. “Who keeps calling your phone?” she asked and snatched it from Samuel. I am not surprised she is calling you not one bit. Samuel she is a married woman with a child.” “Mother, she is not married to the man yet. “So what Son? She has a child with him and that is never right. Let her go. Sarah doesn’t deserve this. Why is she calling so much? Wow 15 missed calls! What happened between you two? “Nothing mother, I have heard you. I will stay completely away from her. I went for the party because, her fiancé invited me and I didn’t want to be rude. “I’m more upset about the fact that you are making her think you also have a son. What are you trying to prove?” Samuel sighed and looked at his mother. “I really don’t know why I did that. I guess I wanted her to be hurt the same way I am but it is just silly. I have heard you mother, I have Sarah now and she deserves better. Lisa is in my past and Sarah is my future. Can we go inside the house now before they get suspicious? Mrs. Ankrah nodded and Samuel drove inside the house. When he got inside his bedroom, he heard Sarah singing in the bathroom. It made him smile when he heard her sing, she had such a beautiful voice. Samuel smiled and went downstairs to have supper, his favourite. Jollof rice with some kelewele on the side. He watched a movie with his father after supper “Ride Along” Robert was a fan of Kevin Hart. He laughed all through the movie which also made Samuel laugh. He had completely forgotten about Lisa. He switched off his phone to enjoy his movie with his father. He went upstairs to his room to see Sarah fast asleep, he went to the bathroom to shower and joined her in bed, he kissed her forehead and whispered “I love you.” Sarah smiled and continued her sleep.
